It takes inspiration from the GWR Rail Motors of 1903 onwards. Although we don’t think there were any specific narrow-gauge prototypes in the UK, there were several versions abroad. To us, it looks like something that could’ve saved the Lynton & Barnstable Railway.

Made from birch and poplar plywood with real glass windows, it is a sturdy design which would be at home on any railway.

Available as either a kit or as a finished model in GWR Brown & Cream; Maroon & Cream; or Green & Cream.

The powered bogie has been specially manufactured for us by Boot Lane Works. Their tried and tested chassis is the ideal power unit. Of course it's four wheeled drive. Even in the kit version, it's supplied pre-assembled and ready to go.

Although it is supplied with batteries and a simple forward / off / reverse switch (pre-wired even in the kit version), there is plenty of room to hide radio control enhancements if that’s what the buyer wants to do.

Like our coaches, the roof is removable (it’s a very tight fit, not intended to be removed every day).

The Railcar is 170mm high and 120mm wide in the body. It’s 520mm long including buffer couplings.

It will go round 2'6" radius curves - even Radius 1.

The Railcar is not re-gaugeable.
